Annual Meeting

CAEC 2025

Oak Ridge, TN

May 19-23, 2025

Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Savannah River National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge Associated Universities are excited to host the 2025 Annual CAEC meeting the week of May 19, 2025.  The activities noted below will all be held at Oak Ridge Associated Universities’ Pollard Auditorium in Oak Ridge, TN.  The agenda will be as follows:

  • May 19-20th – QAR Training.  This training will be sponsored by the IIA and will be based on the new QAR Manual and Global Internal Audit Standards.  We are limited to 30 seats for the training.  The training will be two full days.  We will do our best to ensure that each organization has an opportunity to participate.  We will also give preference to those who are currently signed up to perform QARs.  The cost of this event will be $1,000 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch for both days of the training.  The training will provide 16 CPEs.
  • May 21-22nd – CAEC Annual Meeting.  This meeting will be consistent in content to prior CAEC Annual Meetings.  Based on feedback from the CAEC community, there will be a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Ethics.  This will include how to use AI in the audit process, as well as how to audit AI at our respective organizations.  The event will be two full days, along with a reception the evening of May 21st.  Based on the funding from the 2024 CAEC Meeting, there will be no charge for this event.  While we are still working the schedule, we estimate 14 CPEs will be awarded for this event.
  • May 23rd – ORNL Tour. For those who would like to see the amazing work done at ORNL, we will be hosting a tour the morning of May 23rd.  The tour will include the Spallation Neutron Source, High Flux Isotope Reactor, Frontier Supercomputer, and the Graphite Reactor Historical Building.  The tour will be completed by 12:00 pm.  There will be no cost or CPEs provided for the tour.

Registration details will be sent in March.
